Hello to IDP and SCD workers,
Bella Coola's Healthy Beginnings centre is a family centered service, which welcomes clients from all over our little valley.
Because we have only 1800 people here, we have to be able to help wherever and whatever the need .
This news of decentralization leaves us feeling as though we will be cast adrift on our own. It does not give us more power.
It weakens us, because we have no main office to give advice and guidance, when a rare
situation requires knowledge we might not have. We can't possibly know everything so we need a central brain trust.
I have attached several letters addressed to yourselves and the minister and deputy. Could you please send them on?
We plan to send hard copies tomorrow; but, snail mail is slow from here.
The photos were taken of the available staff and the children we serve.

These pictures are fantastic and speak a thousand words!!I can relate to your feelings of being cast adrift as I am hearing the same thing from communities in the North region! We are all in this together!!Your support, pictures and words really mean the world!
