Letter from Toronto Parent Child Mother Goose Program

To Whom it May Concern,

I heard about the recent cuts at the Infant Development Program in BC and would like to express my surprise and disappointment. I understand that the managers at IDP represent an enormous amount of expertise lost. Dana Brynelson is known to us in Toronto and at the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program here as a visionary and a highly skilled, interesting, intelligent, compassionate and funny human being who has used her considerable abilities on behalf of all Canadians, and of course particularly those in BC. It is hard for us to understand what can have led to these decisions.

I can only hope those involved and those responsible think seriously about the reasons and the consequences of actions such as these and allow themselves some honest discussions about the future. We must stop dismantling the positive efforts of others or we will maintain the fragmentation rather than the health of our society. It is a privilege to be in a decision making capacity and it is important to resist destructive or partisan forces and to build rather than to destroy. Very important.

Ruth Danziger

Executive Director

Toronto Parent-Child Mother Goose Program
